Teresa advises clients on financial restructuring, bankruptcy, and related litigation and appellate matters. Her experience includes complex issues involving appellate jurisdiction, plans of reorganization, asset sales, debtor-in-possession financing, contracts, secured transactions, fraud, and real property.
Previous Work
Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Teresa served as a law clerk to the Hon. William J. Lafferty III of the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel of the Ninth Circuit, where she drafted opinions and memoranda on a broad range of bankruptcy appeals, including matters of first impression and issues unique to appellate practice.
She previously held judicial clerkship positions within the federal bankruptcy courts, advising on matters involving reorganizations, asset sales, debtor-in-possession financing, and bankruptcy litigation across a variety of industries. Before her clerkships, Teresa represented debtors and creditors in restructuring and liquidation matters and handled labor, insurance, and wage-and-hour litigation.

Life Beyond the Law
Outside of work, Teresa enjoys hosting elaborate dinner parties, crossword puzzles, swimming in the ocean, and spending time with her animals and (occasionally) her wife. She is an avid traveler and has visited over 40 countries (and counting).
