AFS Partner Jon Jurva will speak at the 19th Annual Emerging Manager & MWBE Conference on February 13, 2026.

Jon will join a legal panel for the Early Riser session focused on negotiating GP/LP fund agreements. Facilitated by CRF’s General Counsel, the session will include a mock negotiation among seasoned private fund lawyers representing both GP and LP perspectives, highlighting key terms for institutional investors.

The conference spotlights the Fund’s long-standing Emerging Manager program, which has provided meaningful capital to promising young investment firms, including many minority- and women-owned managers, benefiting the portfolio that serves more than 1.2 million NYSLRS members, retirees, and beneficiaries. Now in its 19th year, the event will share how the program is empowering the next generation and reflect on historic successes, while offering networking opportunities and insights into the Fund’s asset class portfolios and objectives.
